NTPC Limited, formerly the National Thermal Power Corporation, is an Indian central public sector undertaking established in 1975 and headquartered in New Delhi, under the Ministry of Power. It is India’s largest integrated power utility, involved in electricity generation (thermal, hydro, renewable), coal mining, consultancy, power trading, and energy transition initiatives with an installed capacity of around 90 GW, targeting 60 GW of renewable energy by 2032. Its CSR efforts are deeply embedded in its core mission and span healthcare, education, skill development, gender empowerment, livelihood programs, rehabilitation and peripheral development, and infrastructure development in communities surrounding its operations, impacting over a million lives across more than 500 villages.
